What it does
Nothing is charged without warning. No sign-up, no sign-in, no ads. It never moves on from a mishearing. What you say appears as text first, so you can check it before it is sent. Nyao waits for you. Stumble over a word, start the sentence again — Nyao never cuts in.
"I can read a little, but nothing comes out when I try to speak." That is where this app begins.
Nyanto is a quiet place to practise speaking a language. The one you talk to is Nyao, a cat. Nyao is not a person, so you can hesitate, start the sentence again, and take as long as you need.
- 17 languages to choose from
- English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Vietnamese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Thai and Polish
- Choose one at the start. Spanish needs no purchase; the other languages open with a language plan (see "What it costs")
- You can switch between the languages you have opened in the settings
- Conversations, level and the things you got wrong are stored separately for each language, so switching never mixes them up
- Who it is for
- You would like to say one line out loud today, but speaking in front of people is uncomfortable
- A trip, a call with a client, or a new colleague is coming
- You want the app in your own language, not a screen full of a foreign one
- You want to move between several languages inside one app
- What you can do
- Everyday scenes are ready: a cafe, shopping, a station, a hotel, small talk at work and more. Each one is a short script you walk through line by line, in all 17 languages
No ads, no account. If anything leaves your phone, the screen that does it says so.
